build mobility wherever you are with

Flometrics® Movement Coaching

for people with eds and other chronic conditions

From bed, to couch, to floor—to more!

all the benefits of traditional pt,

none of the traditional demands

Physical therapy can help you recover from injury, prevent chronic pain, and enhance movement, strength, and stability.

But physical therapy requires physical visits. Or does it?

We believe healing doesn’t have to happen on a treatment table. It can happen anywhereeven your own home. And when you’re in a flare, even from your own bed.

That’s why we’ve created Flometrics® Movement Coaching. It’s like physical therapy for people with Ehlers–Danlos Syndrome and other chronic conditions… except you can do it anywhere, anytime.

what is Flometrics®?

Group of women and girls smiling and talking indoors near a door labeled 'Rejuvenation Room'.

and how is it different from what you’ve already tried?

Traditional PT isn’t designed for people with hypermobility. Flometrics® is.

Flometrics® is an innovative protocol developed by our in-house EDS expert (and highly experienced doctor of physical therapy), Dr. Jason Cole.

Beginning with a thorough assessment of your unique needs, our licensed PTs and movement specialists create a customized treatment plan for YOUR complex body.

While we offer an in-person Flometrics program for patients local to our Amherst, NH, clinic, we now offer a fully virtual program for patients anywhere in the world.

With Flometrics® Movement Coaching, you get access to our signature approach, 1:1 coaching sessions, video feedback, and regular progress tracking — all from the comfort of your own home, gym, or hospital, or clinic.

Where Flometrics® Meets You—

a Note from Lauren

When I first met Jason, I was essentially couch-bound. My world had shrunk down to the smallest possible movements — things I could only manage lying down or propped up with pillows. Imagine trying to care for a rambunctious toddler, run a household, and work full time like that. (Maybe you already can.)

Jason didn’t ask me to do more than I could handle. He started with me exactly where I was: on the couch. With tiny, carefully curated flows and muscle activations, he showed me that even the gentlest movements could make a difference, and over time, those movements gave me more strength, stability, and hope than I ever thought possible.

Now, most days I can keep up with that almost-5-year-old while running a whole clinic—and only need to rest on my beloved couch when I haven’t paced myself correctly. Jason’s very first hEDS patient that he started seeing regularly? Most of her sessions still take place on her bed—and she’s still gently progressing, still finding joy in movement, nearly a decade later. Success can be beautiful in so many ways.

That’s the same philosophy we bring to Flometrics® Movement Coaching. You don’t need to walk into a gym, lift weights, or keep up with a “standard” PT plan. Our Movement Specialists are trained to design programs that respect your limits — whether you’re starting from bed, couch, or floor.

Flometrics® is about building mobility wherever you are, with gentle, safe progressions that help you rebuild confidence in your body without flaring your symptoms.

Why choose virtual coaching?

Our Flometrics Coaching Program was created for those who can’t make it to our Amherst, NH clinic — but still want access to the same EDS-aware approach.

This option is perfect if:

✓ You don’t have an EDS-aware physical therapist in your area

✓ Travel and commuting are difficult on your body (or just not practical)

✓ You want to learn the Flometrics Approach and get guidance you can apply from anywhere in the world

With virtual coaching, you’ll still receive personalized support, education, and movement plans — without the barriers of location.

Need more hands-on support?

Many people with EDS do benefit most from in-person therapy. The problem?

There just aren’t enough trained PTs to do this type of manual therapy, and it can spend you tens or even hundreds of hours trying to find the right match for your needs (no, we’re not kidding—ask us how we know).

If we recommend manual therapy, neurologic dry needling, myofascial release, or other hands-on bodywork, we may suggest working with a local provider alongside your virtual Flometrics® program.

Add our Local Concierge service for $425 to receive:

  • Coordination of finding and connecting you with a hypermobility-aware physical therapist, chiropractor, or massage therapist in your area

  • Professional virtual consultation with that local provider to explain your Flometrics® plan, our recommendations, and how we can work together to achieve your goals

Still got questions?

We’ve got answers!

  • Our team includes Flometrics®-certified physical therapists, personal trainers, and athletic trainers — all specially trained to understand hypermobility and chronic conditions. Some also have backgrounds in corrective exercise or functional movement. In other words: they get it, and they’ll meet you exactly where you are.

  • Nope. Most of what we do uses your own bodyweight and everyday items you already have at home. Sometimes we’ll suggest small, inexpensive tools like resistance bands, yoga blocks, or a soft ball — but all are optional and usually cost under $20 on Amazon.

  • Not at all. Many of our clients live with EDS, POTS, MCAS, or other chronic conditions — but you don’t need a diagnosis to benefit. If you’re dealing with pain, fatigue, or frustration from traditional exercise, you’re in the right place.

  • That’s exactly where we start. Flometrics® was designed with this in mind. Whether you’re in bed, on the couch, on the floor, or standing — our specialists will create a plan that feels safe, doable, and tailored to your body’s needs.

  • Absolutely not. You don’t need to prove anything before you begin — you just have to show up. We’ll meet you there and build from that point together.

  • Not exactly. Flometrics® is PT-inspired, but it’s coaching — designed for people who may not have access to hypermobility-aware PTs, or who need ongoing support outside of the clinic. Think of it as having your own movement guide who helps you progress safely at home.

  • We know how scary that can feel, so we take it seriously. Our approach focuses on gentle, gradual progress to keep flare-ups to a minimum. While some soreness is normal when starting something new, our goal is to help you build resilience without triggering setbacks.

  • Every body is different — but we structure all of our programs around an initial three-month commitment, because that’s the sweet spot where we see real, lasting change. That said, many people notice they feel a little stronger, steadier, or more confident after just a session or two.

  • Yes! Flometrics® often works best alongside in-person care. We can even collaborate with your local providers to make sure your care team is on the same page.

  • Because this is a coaching program rather than formal physical therapy, it usually isn’t covered by insurance. However, many clients are able to use their HSA/FSA funds toward it.
